Our President, Mr. Bruce T. Okimoto, is a Japanese American born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He spent a number of years studying and working abroad in Japan and his immersion into that culture helped to develop his keen eye for quality products as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. 

In 1981, he established T. Oki Trading, Ltd. as an import consulting and distribution company which primarily focused on procuring galvanized steel and copper sheet metal from reliable vendors in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.  Because many of the clients that used the sheet metal products were plumbing contractors, Mr. Okimoto was eventually introduced to the Vice President of Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath, and so began his beginnings into plumbing retail.

Eventually, Mr. Okimoto caught wind of the plans of TOTO of Japan  to distribute their products in the American market.  Because of his familiarity with their quality product lines and their dedication to innovations in plumbing to decrease water consumption, he immediately contacted the TOTO USA head office to express his interest in becoming a dealer.  Mr. Okimoto has not only succeeded in helping to bring a quality product such as TOTO to the islands, but he is constantly looking for commodities that provide both value and excellence. 

As such, the T. Oki offerings have expanded to include Custom Pre-Packaged Homes by Linwood Homes, Viking, LG Studio, Dacor, Liebherr Appliances, Hansgrohe, Safty Tubs, Sauna, Ofuro Plumbing Fixtures, Photovoltaic Solar Panels, and  LED Lighting just to name a few.

In 1986, Mr. Okimoto establish MarbleHaus Hawaii.  He started with a single container of river rocks and marble tiles from the Philippines with 9 tiles on a single display panel.  Today, the MarbleHaus Hawaii division has two entire showrooms filled with Natural Stones imported from all over the world as well as Porcelain Tiles, Slabs and Pre-Fabricated Countertops, Carpet, and even Wood and Wood Laminates.  

Some of our noteworthy jobs has been to supply Random Quartzite Stone for the sidewalks along Kalakaua Avenue,  throughout the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, all over  the sidewalks in Beachwalk(Waikiki) and in the expansion on Ala Moana Shopping Center. 

In this past year, Mr. Okimoto refined his vision for the future of home building and remodeling needs with the creation of "Hawaii Home Expo". 

The union of the T. Oki Trading & MarbleHaus Hawaii divisions aims to achieve his concept of becoming a "One Stop Shop" for all of Hawaii’s Home Improvement needs while providing the best possible customer service and products of the highest.
